La magia de enseñar/ The magic of teaching

Hoy, como cada martes, dí una clase de matemáticas a una niña de 12 años. Cada vez que voy, me asombra su forma de pensar, y lo sencillo que le puede resultar comprender cosas más avanzadas o pensar de forma lógica y llegar así a resultados, en vez de repetir como periquito, que es lo que generalmente se nos enseña, incluso en matemáticas.

No es la primera vez que soy maestra, y cada una de las ocasiones, es algo que gusta y me llena. Hoy enseñé geometría con triángulos de papel, espejos y un kaleidoscopio, y hasta una cámara oscura estaba a punto de hacer si las condiciones del lugar hubieran resultado.

Las matemáticas son divertidas, y mi trabajo como maestra es mostrarle eso, hacerla pensar, y hacerle ver lo maravilloso que es pensar y aprender.

Today, as every Tuesday, I gave a mth lesson to a 12 year old girl. Every time I go I am amazed by her way of thinking, and how simple it is for her to understand things that are from a higher level, or to think in a logic way and get like that, to the results, instead of repeating as a parroquit, that is something we are generally taught, even in Maths.

It is not the first time I am a teacher, and in every ocassion, it is something I like and that actually fullfillsme. Today, I taught geometry with paper triangles, mirrors, and a kaleidoscope, and I was about to do a camera oscura but the conditions of the place didn't allow me.

Maths are fun, and my job as a teacher, is to show that, to make her think, and make her see how amazing it is to think and learn.
